These have been added to the large quantity of free weights and power racks already in the weight room. In addition to the weight room, the Aerobic SuperCircuit is available to GCCC athletes. The ASC houses multiple weight machines as well as cardio equipment. GCCC athletes can use this for cardio work as well as different rehabilitation assignments.
The athletic training room is also located in the DPAC. It houses GCCC's two full time certified athletic trainers and all of their equipment. This includes two whirlpools, treatment tables, taping tables, modalities, and rehabilitation equipment.
Williams Stadium is home to Broncbuster baseball. The stadium is one of the finest on-campus facilities in junior college baseball. Williams was built in 1988 strictly from donations from Gary and Janet Williams, who were huge GCCC baseball fans. Through time it has undergone changes. The most recent changes will be a new wall and a new scoreboard that will be installed in the fall of 2011. In addition to the collegiate baseball field, there are also quality bullpens and batting cages at Williams Stadium.
Tangeman Sports Complex
The Tangeman Sports Complex houses at least a portion of all outdoor sports at Garden City Community College. The cornerstone of the complex is fourplex of softball fields located on the southeast corner of the complex. The Broncbusters' competition field is a part of this fourplex. The field has undergone numerous renovations in the last five years including a new fence, a new scoreboard, a new pressbox, and new bleachers.
Also in the Tangeman sports complex are football and soccer practice fields. Broncbuster football has two regulation size fields for practice as well as other areas for units to work. There are two filming towers located on the field to increase learning for our football program. There are also two regulation size soccer fields for the women's soccer teams to use for practice. In addition to their fields, there is a small storage building that the soccer program utilizes. There is also a baseball field located at Tangeman. The field is not utilized by the Broncbuster baseball program much, but does give them another option for a place to practice. This field plays host to some GCHS athletic contests.
