Aspegren Named Mink League Top Prospect

Austin Aspegren was recently named the #9 ranked prospect in the MINK Collegiate Summer Baseball League by Baseball America.

Aspegren spent last season as a mainstay in the Busters bullpen. He finished the season for the Busters with 27 appearances and 3.12 ERA. Aspegren saved four games and struck out 26 batters in 26 innings of work.

Aspegren competed in the MINK league for the St. Joseph's Mustangs along with fellow Buster Francisco Alvarez. The Mustangs captured the regular season MINK League title and competed in the National Baseball Congress World Series. Aspegren put together an incredible summer in the bullpen for St. Joe. Aspegren appeared in 24 games and did not allow an earned run all season. He allowed just eight hits in 23.1 innings of work and struck out 23 batters.

The sidearm right hander now attends Arkansas State University, a member of the Sunbelt Conference in Jonesboro, Arkansas.
