Garden City, KS-Garden City dropped game three to Cloud County 8-5. Cloud County jumped out to an early lead as they produced three runs in top of the first. Garden City's Francisco Alavared responded in the bottom of the first with a solo home run.
The T-birds scored two more runs in the top of the third and once again Garden City responded. Ted Ramirez, Sean Kennedy and Cooper Bowermaster contributed three RBI singles each pulling the Busters within one.
The Busters gave up one run in the top of the third and two more in the top of the sixth and the scoring ended for Cloud County. Garden City hustled again to garner one more run in the bottom of the seventh. Francisco Alvarez was hit by a pitch and Ted Ramirez brought him home with a stand up double.
The Busters loaded the bases but a Mason Brown struck out to Cloud County Pitcher Emilio Foden. Foden recorded 12 strikeouts on the day.
In game two Garden City defeated Cloud County in eight innings 16-6. Brennan Cascio went 2-3 from the dish including a two run homer in the bottom of the sixth. Cascio scored three runs and tallied 3 RBI's. Mason Brown went 2-4, scored one run and added 4 RBI's.
Garden City is now 20-9 overall and 11-5 in the Jayhawk West just ahead of Butler Community College (16-11, 8-4). The Busters will play Frank Phillips on Tuesday March, 24th at Borger, TX before traveling to Butler Community College on Saturday.
Frank Phillips will be a 1x9 contest and will begin at 3:00 PM. First pitch at Butler is Saturday at 3:00 PM.
