Coffeyville, KS-Garden City lost to Coffeyville 13-3 (7 innings) in game one of opening round play in the Region VI Playoffs.
Dalton Schalberg suffered the loss for Garden City as the Busters gave up seven runs in the bottom of the fourth. The Busters scored one run in the top of the fifth to close within five trailing 8-3.
The Ravens would respond with three runs in the bottom of the fifth. Coffeyville scored two runs in the bottom of the seventh to end the game.
Two hole batter Ted Rameriz led the Busters going 2-4, scored two runs and tabbed two RBI's Ramirez RBI's came on a two out double in the top of the third giving the Busters a 2-1 lead. Francisco Alvarez went 2-4 at the dish and scored two runs.
In game two the Busters could not control the Ravens bats. Coffeyville scored four runs in the bottom of the second and fifth innings. The Busters trailed 11-2 after five innings before putting up three runs in the sixth inning and two runs in the seventh.
The Ravens scored one more in the bottom of the eighth to end all scoring and advancing to Wichita with a 12-7 win.
