Alvarez to Arkansas State; Bryant to Washburn

Garden City, KS-Francisco Alvarez has inked to continue his playing career and education at Arkansas State. The Garden City Male Athlete of the Year led the team in eight offensive categories. Alvarez was a two time all-conference performer for the Busters and was named an NJCAA Honorable Mention All-American this year. Alvarez hails from Woodward, Oklahoma

Arkansas State is located in Jonesboro, Arkansas and competes in NCAA Division 1. They are a member of the Sunbelt Conference and are led by Head Coach Tommy Raffo. This marks the third consecutive year that a Buster Baseball player has moved on to Arkansas State (Colton Kibler, Austin Aspegren). While attending ASU, Alvarez will study mechanical engineering. 

Garret Bryant, a three year player for Coach Finnegan, has signed with Washburn University. Bryant was recruited by Washburn University when he graduated high school as well. In the fall of 2013 Bryant signed with Louisiana Tech but an injury prevented him from playing the 13-14 season. After returning to Garden City for his third season, Bryant chose the Ichabods. Garrett is from Fort Collins, Colorado.  

Washburn University is located in Topeka, Kansas and competes in NCAA Division 2. They are a part of the MIAA and are led by second year head coach Harley Douglas.
