Garden City, KS-After some early-season stumbles, the Broncbusters have righted the ship.
On Friday, Remi Emeriau played arguably his best game of the season, scoring twice as Garden City beat Pratt 4-2. It was the Broncbusters third win in their last four matches.
"I knew eventually things would come together," Head Coach Scott Westbrook said.
It took a little time to get Garden City going after Pratt scored the game's first goal in the 28th minute of the first half. The Beavers took a 1-0 lead into the locker room.
But 15 minutes into the second half, Emeriau got the equalizer, rolling a bender past goaltender Louis Sharp. Less than 20 seconds later, Emeriau scored again, to give Garden City (3-5, 2-2) a 2-1 advantage.
Pratt did not go away, evening the score in the 70th minute with a goal from Nathan Wilson.
Sanchez gave the brown and gold the lead for good when he scored with 20 minutes remaining. Depaz proceeded to throw salt on the wound with a goal 12 minutes after that.
"This was a good, hard-fought victory," Westbrook said. "We've got talent on this team, and it's starting to show."
Garden City outshot Pratt 16-7.
