A tight game was decided in the sixth inning as Broncbuster fell to Colby Community College 3-2 in seven innings on Wednesday at Colby, KS.

Sidney Coleman was hot from the plate for Broncbuster. Coleman went 1-3, drove in one and scored one run. She homered in the fifth inning.

Mara Nash got the win for Colby Community College. She allowed two runs over seven innings. She struck out 11, walked three and surrendered four hits.

Rachel Roe ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with the loss. She lasted just six innings, walked one, struck out three, and allowed three runs.

The top of the first saw Broncbuster take an early lead, 1-0. Broncbuster got things going when Brooke Lovas singled. A groundout by Jayde Wilson then moved Lovas from first to second. Mattie Miller singled, plating Lovas.

It didn't take long for Colby Community College to answer as it scored two runs of its own in the first. Colby Community College scored on an RBI single by Tanner Harvey and a passed ball.

Colby Community College never surrendered the lead after the sixth inning, scoring one run on a sacrifice fly by Alexzandra Vigil.

Mattie Miller went 2-4 and hit a home run, helping Broncbuster to a 3-1 victory over Colby Community College on Wednesday at Colby, KS.

She singled in the fifth inning and homered in the seventh inning.

Barb Nigon picked up the win for Broncbuster. Nigon pitched seven innings and allowed no earned runs, four hits and one walk while striking out four.

Colby Community College scored its only run of the game on a single by Collette West in the first inning.

The game's last lead went to Broncbuster thanks to a fourth inning rally that saw one run cross the plate on a single by Karissa Cardenas.
