Busters Defeat Trinidad 15-0 in Game One of Twin Bill

Broncbuster jumped out to an early lead on Trinidad State College and captured a 14-0 victory on Thursday at Garden City, KS.

Thirteen runs in the first three innings allowed Broncbuster to put the game away early.

A groundout by Mattie Miller, a passed ball, and a two-run single by Skyler Doughty in the first inning and a two-run double by Miller, an RBI single by Karissa Cardenas, and a three-run home run by Doughty during the second inning helped Broncbuster put some runs on the board early.

Doughty racked up five RBIs on two hits for Broncbuster.

Broncbuster's Barb Nigon kept Trinidad State College off the scoreboard for all five innings she was in the circle. She pitched a shutout, allowing no runs on three hits while striking out two.

Ally Grywusiewicz couldn't get it done on the rubber for Trinidad State College, taking a loss. She lasted just two innings, walked one, struck out one, and allowed four runs.

Broncbuster's Barb Nigon surrendered three hits, but providing enough offense to notch a victory proved difficult Thursday, as Broncbuster fell to Trinidad State College 2-1 at Garden City, KS.

Jessica Salbato got the win for Trinidad State College. She allowed one run over seven innings. Salbato struck out four, walked none and gave up three hits.

Nigon took the loss for Broncbuster. She lasted just seven innings, walked one, struck out four, and allowed two runs.

Trinidad State College never trailed after scoring one run in the first on a groundout by Samantha Glover.
