Busters Win Game One 4-2 Over Cougars

Barton County Community College wasn't able to overcome the big hole it dug itself into against Broncbuster, and Barton County Community College lost 4-2 to Broncbuster after falling behind by three runs in the third inning.

Barton County Community College scored two runs in the fourth on two singles. Still, Barton County Community College couldn't draw even.

 

Sidney Coleman racked up two RBIs on one hit for Broncbuster. She homered in the second inning.

 
 

Barb Nigon picked up the win for Broncbuster. Nigon allowed two earned runs, seven hits and one walk while striking out three over seven innings of work.

 

Taylor Bugner was charged with the loss. She lasted just seven innings, walked one, struck out six, and allowed four runs.

Broncbuster stayed on top until the final out after taking the lead in the second, scoring two runs on a two-run home run by Coleman.

Broncbuster matched its one-run third inning with one more in the seventh. In the third, Broncbuster scored on an RBI single by Mattie Miller, scoringCheyenne Phelps.

Despite Denise Dentlinger's 3-3 performance at the plate on Wednesday, Broncbuster took a 9-0 loss at the hands of Barton County Community College at Great Bend, KS.

Dentlinger had a busy day at the plate, collecting two extra-base hits. She doubled in the first and third innings and singled in the sixth inning.

Holly Posegate got it done in the circle on the way to a win. She pitched six shutout innings. Posegate struck out one, walked two and gave up four hits.

Barton County Community College's Erica HarperBailey Hensley andMcKenna Mauler combined for six hits and eight RBIs.

Rachel Roe was charged with the loss. She allowed nine runs in 5 1/3 innings, walked two and struck out six.

Barton County Community College tacked on another four runs in the fourth. Mauler kicked things off with a triple, scoring Posegate, Samantha White andJenna Hosey. That was followed up by Hensley's single, plating Mauler.
