Busters Sweep Pratt Series

Broncbuster beat Pratt Community College on Saturday 8-0 at Garden City, KS in six innings.

Broncbuster scored three runs in the fifth on Broncbuster scored in the fifth on a two-run single by Denise Dentlinger and a sacrifice fly by Erin Jankiewicz.

 

Jayde Wilson racked up three RBIs on three hits for Broncbuster. She doubled in the second inning, singled in the fifth inning, and homered in the sixth inning.

 
 

Broncbuster's Barb Nigon kept Pratt Community College off the scoreboard for all six innings she was in the circle. She pitched a shutout, allowing no runs on two hits while striking out three.

 

Emily Lucas ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with the loss. She allowed eight runs in 5 1/3 innings, walked none and struck out two.

Broncbuster stayed on top until the final out after taking the lead in the first, scoring two runs on a sacrifice fly by Dentlinger and an RBI triple byCheyenne Phelps.

Broncbuster jumped out to an early lead on Pratt Community College and captured a 13-0 victory on Saturday at Garden City, KS.

The game was decided quickly as Broncbuster exerted its will early with eight runs in the first three innings.

An error and a three-run home run by Mattie Miller during the first inning and a three-run double by Miller and an RBI double by Erin Jankiewicz in the second inning fueled Broncbuster's offense early.

Broncbuster hit three home runs in the win. Additional home runs for Broncbuster came when Brooke Lovas homered in the fourth inning and Jankiewicz homered in the fourth inning.

 

Miller racked up seven RBIs on three hits for Broncbuster.

 

Rachel Roe got the win for Broncbuster. She pitched five shutout innings. She struck out two, walked none and surrendered two hits.

Caitlin Randolph ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with the loss. She allowed eight runs in 1 1/3 innings, walked one and struck out none.
