Busters Fall To Barton in 1st Round Region VI

Broncbusters falls 7-0 to Barton Community College despite Erin Jankiewicz's effort

Broncbusters fell 7-0 to Barton Community College on Tuesday.

Madison Didion got it done on the rubber on the way to a win. She tossed seven innings of shutout ball. Didion struck out two, walked none and gave up one hit.

Home runs for Barton Community College came when Brittany Woodhomered in the first inning, McKenna Mauler homered in the fourth inning, and Holly Posegate homered in the fourth inning.

Kaitlyn Bean took the loss for Broncbusters. She lasted just 3 1/3 innings, walked none, struck out one, and allowed five runs.

The lead stayed with Barton Community College after the first, when it scored two runs on a two-run home run by Wood.

Barton Community College increased its lead with four runs in the fourth. The inning looked promising, as Posegate homered to kick things off. That was followed up by Mauler's solo blast.
