Busters Fall to NJCAA #2 Trinity Valley

Midland, TX-Garden City fell to #2 Trinity Valley Community College 75-57 today at the WNIT hosted by Midland College. The Busters compete despite 27 turnovers. Shala Dobbins scored a career high 34 pts. against the #2 Cardinals and snagged 11 rebounds.

The Busters pulled within one late in the second quarter but could not overcome a 10 pt run by the Cardinals early in the third quarter. The Busters trailed by three at the half despite 15 turnovers. 

The Cardinals struggled from the field shooting 35% and 2-15 from the arc. Christalah Lyons led Trinity Valley with 22 Points. Garden City's DaRae Lewis added 14 points and 8 boards. Dobbins was 22-25 from the line and was 6-11 from the field. 

Nick Salazar stated, "I was pleased with our effort but we have to mature. When we get within one we need to keep making plays to go ahead. We have to get better at that". 

The Busters will play the loser of Odessa College and Salt Lake tomorrow at 1pm. The game can be heard on 99.9 ESPN Radio
