Garden City, KS-The Dodge City Women are 5-3 in league and 15-4 overall. The Conqs received votes for National rankings last week and defeated Barton County Saturday 74-70 in Dodge City on Saturday. Garden City also got the win over Barton County last Wednesday as they downed the Cougars 64-58 in Great Bend.

The Conquistadors are averaging 82ppg game and is handing out an astonishing 20.2 assists per game. Dodge is shooting 45% from the field, 36% from the arc and 64% from the free throw line while averaging 49 rebounds a game. 

Dodge City has four players averaging double figures. Talisha Presley, Antania Newton and Rachel Slattery all average just under 15ppg overall while Alexus Johnson is at 10.5ppg. Dodge City's three conference losses are to Coffeyville 76-58, Cowley County 87-64 and Hutchinson 90-48. Garden City lost to Coffeyville in December 70-57 and defeated Cowley County at Arkansas City 83-75 two weeks ago.

Garden City is led by Shala Dobbins' 21.5ppg overall and she is averaging 19.0ppg in League play. Antania Newton is averaging 18.6ppg in league for the Conqs. Garden City's supporting cast is Jaymie Bernbeck, Kavita Akula, Jenna Clasen and DeRae Lewis. They are combining for 35ppg. Garden City swept (2-0) the Conqs last season. However, head coach Nick Salazar's team this year consists of all freshman.
