Busters Short Against Cloud County

Concordia, KS-Garden City came up short to Cloud County falling 81-54. The Busters were without starters DeRae Lewis and Domingue Maxwell. Head Coach Nick Salazar cited "Violation of team rules", leaving them at home.

Garden City trailed at the end of the first quarter 17-9 and at the half 37-30. The T-birds led by as many as 19 points before Garden City cut it to seven at the half. Poor shooting in the first half hampered Garden City's effort as they went 0-5 from the arc and 6-21 from the field. Cloud County went 15-38 in the first half and 4-10 from three.

The second half did not get much better for Garden City as they fell behind by 37 points. Garden City was led by Shala Dobbins 23 points and Donasja Scott added 11. Chelcie Kizart led all scorers with 26 points.

The Busters fall to 14-4 on the year and 20-9 overall. A win over Hutchinson Monday night will give Garden City a share of the KJCCC DI Conference Championships. The Blue Dragons are 15-3 and 25-3 overall. Cowley College has snuck into the standings as they are 14-4 as they remain in the hunt for the title. Tipoff is at 6:00pm Monday night at the DPAC.
