Garden City Community College to Bring Back Men's Soccer

Garden City, KS-The Garden City Community College Broncbusters will be playing men's soccer next fall. The Broncbusters dropped the men's soccer program in the spring of 2010.  Vice President-Athletic Director Ryan Ruda stated.  "Garden City Community College never intended to not recommit itself back to men's soccer.  Steve Gorton, a very successful Coach here was leaving for Oakland University and in that move we lost a men's and women's coach. Men's soccer was left with some unique circumstances and we decided to focus on maintaing the women's program."

Head Women's Coach Charles Long will assume the additional duty as head men's coach.  Long will focus on assistant coaching canidadates.  Long stated, "we will begin recruiting immediately." Garden City Community College is a member of the Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference and is a member of Region VI in the National Junior College Athletic Association.
