Garden City falls in four in Texas

Borger, TX-The euphoria frrom Wednesday night's win at Pratt was quickly doused 48 hours later. 

The Broncbusters lost a four-set grudge match to Frank Phillips 20-25, 23-25, 25-22, 13-25. 

The loss dropped Garden City to 6-24 overall and 2-12 in conferernce play. 

"It's been a frustrating year with everything that's happened to us," Head Coach Jacque Matula said. "But we definitely had our chances in this match again."

After drropping the first two sets, Garden City responded with a three-point victory in the third frame. But seven errors in the fourth put to bed any chance of a comeback bid.

"Our girls continue to fight, and that's what I'm most proud of," Matula added. "It just hasn't gone our way."

Garden City has lost eight out of their last 10 matches. They're back in action Wednesday at Cloud County. 6:30 p.m. match time.
