NJCAA #6 Ranked Lady Busters Compete at ESU

Emporia, KS-The Lady Busters finished 7th out of 14 teams at the Emporia State Cross Country Invitational Saturday.  Neysa Harmon paced the Busters with a 21:11 5K.  Balbina Lugo was thirteen seconds back of Harmon and Vienna Garcia rounded out the 21 plus times logging a 21:47.

Carmen Hernandez finished fourth for GCCC at 22:05 and Angie Flores rounded out the top five with a 23:06. Brianna Young finished one second back of Flores.

The Fort Hays Lady Tigers won the meet with a score of 31 followed by Northwest Missouri State with 54 while Newman University rounded out the top three with 129 points.

The Busters knocked of KJCCC foes Johnson County Community College (257) and Highland Community College (268). Garden City Community College returns to action on Saturday, October 11th at Fort Hays State University.
