Trevor Meier won the long go in steer wrestling but broke out in the short go, receiving a 10-second penalty. He ended up finishing eighth in the short and eighth in average.

"We are getting some people back to the short go with good opportunities to capitalize," Head Coach Jim Boy Hash said. "We just need to get them to remember that the short go is just another opportunity to gather more points and not even have to beat out as many people to do it."
