Garden City Community College Receives NJCAA Foundation Sport Opportunity Grant for Women’s Wrestling
GARDEN CITY, Kan. — Garden City Community College has received a $2,000 Sport Opportunity Grant from the NJCAA Foundation to assist in the continued development of the Broncbuster women's wrestling program.
The grant is part of the NJCAA Foundation's ongoing commitment to supporting member institutions as they expand athletic opportunities for student-athletes across the country. Garden City Community College officially launched women's wrestling during the 2025-26 academic year and will begin competition during the upcoming 2026-27 season.
"We are extremely appreciative of the NJCAA Foundation and its continued investment in student-athlete opportunities," said Garden City Community College Director of Athletics Mike Pilosof. "Women's wrestling continues to experience tremendous growth nationally, and this grant will help strengthen our ability to provide resources, support, and opportunities for current and future Broncbusters."
Garden City Community College announced the addition of women's wrestling as part of its continued commitment to expanding participation opportunities and enhancing the student-athlete experience. The program provides additional competitive and educational opportunities for female student-athletes while continuing the college's longstanding tradition of excellence in NJCAA athletics.
