Liberal, KS-The Broncbuster offense was in fine form in Thursday's finale.
Tyler Barth and Miguel Ramos each homered, Will Gardner drove in four runs, and Garden City smashed Seward County 17-5 at Brent Gould Field.
And this one was decided relatively early.
Barth's second-inning long ball got the Broncbusters on the board. An inning later, Gardner cleared the bases with a three-run double to right to make it 4-0. But the heavy lifting was done in the fourth when Ryan Muniz and Gardner drew bases-loaded walks before Ramos tattooed a grand slam over the center-field wall to give Garden City an 11-0 edge. Kyle Jameson added an RBI single in the fifth, Ramos scored on a wild pitch in the sixth, and Muniz ripped an RBI triple in the ninth.
Guillermo Gelpi picked up the win, allowing two runs on six hits in 4.1 innings. Barth tied a season-high with four knocks, and Ramos and Jameson each collected three hits.
