Lamar, CO – The Garden City Community College baseball team split a high-scoring road doubleheader at Lamar Community College on February 5, showing both late-game power and offensive depth across two dramatically different contests.

Sean Togher powered the offense, going 2-for-3 with a home run and two RBI, while Aiden Wilson added a three-run homer that helped keep the Broncbusters in front during the middle innings. Garden City did damage despite recording just three hits, capitalizing on timely swings and pressure on the bases.

The nightcap turned into an offensive shootout, with both teams trading big innings from the third inning on. Garden City erupted for six runs in the third and continued to apply pressure throughout the game, finishing with 15 hits and 11 walks.
Akoi Burton delivered a huge performance, going 3-for-4 with a home run and five RBI. Sean Togher added a homer and drove in five, while Aiden Wilson and Justin Bush also went deep as part of a four-homer effort. Mason Tafoya set the tone at the top of the lineup, scoring three times and swiping four bases as Garden City's aggressive baserunning played a key role.
Sean Togher earned the win on the mound, and Jakob Wilcox secured the save in a tense ninth inning to lock down the 19–18 victory and salvage the split .
