Tyrell Winn enters his first season as Running Backs Coach at Garden City Community College in 2026, bringing a strong offensive background and a passion for developing complete Athletes to the Broncbuster program.

Winn joins Garden City after spending the 2025 season at Avila University, where he served as a Graduate Assistant and Tight Ends Coach. During his time at Avila, he assisted with player development, recruiting, game day operations , and opponent scouting. While gaining valuable experience mentoring student-athletes and emphasizing the fundamentals necessary for success on and off the field.

A native of Tuscaloosa, Alabama. Winn was a five-year collegiate offensive lineman, competing at Pearl River Community College, Navarro College, William Jewell College, and Bethel University. At Bethel, he was selected as a two-year team captain, earning respect for his leadership, work ethic, and accountability.

Winn earned his Associate’s degree in Criminal Justice from Navarro College and later completed his Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice at Bethel University in Fall 2024. His coaching philosophy centers on relentless passion, tempo, and effort. With an emphasis on developing athletes who are complete players capable of contributing in the run game, passing game, and pass protection.

In his free time, Winn enjoys watching sports year-round and discovering new music.
