Broncbusters Finish 10th at TankLogix & Tall City Exploration Championship

MIDLAND, TX – The Garden City Community College men's golf team competed at the TankLogix & Tall City Exploration Championship, held March 9–10 at Green Tree Country Club in Midland, Texas. Facing a competitive field of regional junior colleges and nationally ranked programs, the Broncbusters finished 10th overall with a three-round total of +34.
Garden City opened the tournament with a +5 round, followed by a +4 performance in round two, before battling through a tougher final round to finish +25. The two-day event featured strong scoring from several teams, with Odessa College claiming the team title at 3-under, followed by Midland College at 1-under.
The Broncbusters were led by Oliver Crowley, who finished +7 for the tournament with rounds of 67, 75, and 78. Crowley delivered one of the top individual rounds of the event for Garden City in the opening round, firing a five-under 67 to put himself near the top of the leaderboard early in the tournament.
Ilan Dufrenoy also finished +7 overall, posting rounds of 73, 68, and 79. Dufrenoy highlighted the tournament for the Busters in round two with a three-under 68, one of the best individual rounds of the day.
Theis Ottosen turned in a strong showing for Garden City, finishing +9 overall with rounds of 73, 76, and 73. Ottosen closed the tournament with a steady final round, helping anchor the Broncbusters' scoring lineup.
Carson French finished the tournament +13, carding rounds of 76, 71, and 79. French posted an even-par 71 in round two, providing a key scoring round during the middle stretch of the tournament.
Rounding out the Broncbusters lineup was Luke Felix, who finished +25 overall with rounds of 77, 74, and 87, gaining valuable tournament experience in the competitive field.
Garden City also had Miguel Silveira competing as an individual, where he finished +2 for the tournament with rounds of 71, 70, and 74, turning in one of the most consistent performances among Broncbuster golfers throughout the event.
As a team, the Broncbusters remained competitive through the first two rounds before facing a challenging final round on Tuesday. Garden City finished 10th in the 13-team field, competing against several nationally ranked NJCAA programs.
