Broncbusters Finish Third, Qualify for NJCAA National Championships

SPRINGFIELD, MO – Garden City Community College finished third at the NJCAA Division I Plains District Championship at Rivercut Golf Course, securing an automatic berth to the NJCAA National Championships.
The Broncbusters posted rounds of +19, +13 and +4 to finish at +36, using a strong final round to climb the team leaderboard and earn a podium finish.
Garden City was led by Ilan Dufrenoy, who tied for eighth at +3 (72-76-71). Dufrenoy recorded 11 birdies and 31 pars, including five birdies in the final round.
Miguel Silveira finished at +9 (76-77-72), totaling 7 birdies and 33 pars while closing with an even-par 72.
Oliver Crowley finished at +8 (81-69-74), highlighted by a second-round 69. Crowley tallied 13 birdies, one eagle, and 24 pars across the tournament.
Carson French rounded out the scoring group at +16 (78-79-75), recording 7 birdies and one eagle over three rounds.
As a team, the Broncbusters totaled 38 birdies and two eagles, pairing consistent scoring with a strong final round to secure their spot in the national field.
With the result, the entire team qualified for the NJCAA National Championships.
Next up: Garden City travels to Newton, KS for the NJCAA National Championships beginning May 12.
