Crowley Fires Even-Par 72 to Lead Broncbusters at NJCAA Nationals

NEWTON, KS – Garden City Community College completed the second round of the NJCAA Division I Men's Golf National Championship on Wednesday at Sand Creek Station, holding 15th place overall at +38 through 36 holes in one of the deepest fields in junior college golf.
The Broncbusters were led in round two by Oliver Crowley, who fired an even-par 72 to move into a tie for 72nd overall at +12 for the tournament. Crowley recorded 16 pars and an eagle on the par-5 16th hole, helping steady the Garden City lineup during a challenging day on the course.
Carson French continued his strong national tournament performance, carding a 1-over-par 73 and climbing to 18th overall at +5 through two rounds. After opening his day with a triple bogey on the par-4 first hole, French regrouped quickly and battled back with three birdies and 13 pars. He played the back nine in 2-under-par, highlighted by birdies on holes 17 and 18 to close the round.
Ilan Dufrenoy followed his opening-round 73 with a 5-over 77 on Wednesday and sits tied for 26th overall at +6. Dufrenoy recorded three birdies and six pars during the second round, including birdies on holes two, 10 and 18.
Miguel Silveira posted a 6-over-par 78 and is tied for 79th overall at +15 through two rounds. Silveira totaled one birdie and 10 pars during the day while continuing to battle through difficult scoring conditions.
Miles Dickinson rounded out the Broncbuster lineup with a 9-over 81 and is tied for 95th overall at +22. Dickinson recorded two birdies and eight pars during his second round.
As a team, Garden City battled through several costly holes throughout the day, with each Broncbuster carding at least one double bogey or worse during the round. Despite the setbacks, the Broncbusters continued to show resilience with multiple strong stretches and steady play across the lineup.
The NJCAA Division I Men's Golf National Championship continues Thursday with round three at Sand Creek Station in Newton, Kansas.
