Broncbusters Open Outdoor Season at Dean Pryor Invite

Coffeyville, KS - Broncbuster track and field traveled to Coffeyville, Kansas to compete at the Dean Pryor Invite with a small team to open their outdoor season.
Naya Jules made her collegiate debut in the women's javelin with a mark of 36.48, placing 3rd overall. She also competed in the pole vault where she placed 3rd as well with a mark of 3.04 meters.
Ally Stidham ran an outdoor collegiate debut in the 200 with a time of 32.17.
Tailee Zermeno made her collegiate debut in the women's hammer throw with a mark of 29.72 meters. Zermeno also placed 9th in the women's javelin with a collegiate debut of 18.80 meters.
Kyle Moore opened up his collegiate outdoor debut with a 10.73 in the mens's 100 meters.
Mekhi Goitia made his collegiate debut in the men's 100 and 200 meter with times of 10.89 and 22.80.
Israel Alexander ran a 23.25 in his outdoor collegiate debut in the men's 200 meter. Alexander also placed 3rd in the men's high jump with a mark of 1.87 meters.
Garren McAfee ran a 24.18 in the men's 200 as his outdoor collegiate debut. He also ran a 58.79 in the 400 meters.
Jon Woods opened his outdoor season collegiate debut with a 52.00 in the men's 400 meters, placing 8th , he also placed 5th overall in the high jump and 4th in the triple jump with an outdoor debut of 13.19.
Isaac Orellana made his outdoor collegiate debut in the men's hammer throw and shot put. He threw a mark of 33.51 meters and 10.41 meters.
Anesu Makuwatsine placed 3rd in the men's 400 meter hurdles with a time of 55.43 and placed 4th in the 100 meter hurdles with a time of 15.31.
Jerome Anderson made his outdoor debut with a time of 18.41 in the men's 110 meter hurdles and ran a personal record in the 400 meter hurdles with a time of 1:03.36.
The men's 4x100 placed 8th overall with a time of 44.23. That team consisted of Mekhi Goitia, Kyle Moore, Camari Weaver, and Israel Alexander.
Next up, Garden City Track and Field will be traveling to Canyon, Texas on March 20th and 21st to compete at the West Texas Relays hosted by West Texas A&M.
