Schreibvogel Wins 400, Jules Claims Vault Title at Tabor Invite

McPherson, KS – Garden City Community College Track and Field delivered a strong showing at the Tabor Invite on Saturday, highlighted by multiple personal bests and event victories.
The Broncbusters saw a wave of standout performances across both the men's and women's events.
On the men's side, Israel Alexander made his collegiate debut in the 100-meter dash, clocking an 11.03 to place 10th. Jerome Anderson and Travis Hollins each turned in personal bests in the 110-meter hurdles, with Anderson finishing eighth (16.47) and Hollins taking sixth (15.24). Garren McAfee added a collegiate debut in the same event.
In the sprints, Mekhi Goitia (22.48) and Camari Weaver (22.44) each recorded personal bests in the 200 meters, placing eighth and sixth, respectively. Jon Woods highlighted the field events with a third-place finish in the triple jump (13.51m), a personal best, while also making his collegiate debut in the 200 meters.
The Broncbuster women were equally impressive, led by Naya Jules, who captured the pole vault title with a clearance of 3.08 meters. Jules also placed third in the javelin (40.16m) and recorded a personal best in the 100-meter hurdles (16.87) to finish fourth.
Madyson Schreibvogel continued her strong season with two personal bests, winning the 400 meters in 1:00.54 and placing fifth in the 200 meters (26.85). Ally Stidham added a personal best in the 200 meters (30.24) and a third-place finish in the pole vault (2.33m).
In the throws, Tailee Zermeno recorded a personal best in the hammer throw with a mark of 33.58 meters.
Garden City will look to build on the momentum next weekend as the Broncbusters travel to compete at the 2026 Coyote Classic, hosted by Kansas Wesleyan University, April 17–18.
