Broncbuster Women Finish 3rd at OSU Cowboy Stampede
It was the Women's Team turn to shine this past weekend at the OSU Cowboy Stampede! They ended up 3rd for the weekend with 240 points behind University powerhouses SWOSU 325 points, and NWOSU with 255 points.
Sheridan Bubel led the way by splitting 6th & 7th place in the Long Go of Breakaway Roping with a 2.4, she then Won the Short Go with a 2.7, and Won the Average with a 5.1 aggregate time.
Sidney Johnson split 3rd, 4th, & 5th in the Breakaway Roping Long Go with a 2.3, split 2nd & 3rd in the Short Go with a 3.3, and finished 3rd in the Aggregate with a 5.6 on two!
After coming off of a great weekend of winning the SEOSU Rodeo last weekend the Men's Team struggled a little as a whole. They finished in 9th place for the weekend.
The Broncbuster Steer Wrestlers did make a statement by qualifying 4 of them to the Short Go!
Roper Voskamp was a 4.9 for 3rd place in the Long Go, 8.1 for 9th in the Short Go, and finished 8th in the Average.
Mark Halliday was 5.8 for 9th in the Long Go, 6.7 to win 6th place in the Short Go, and finish 6th in the Average.
Braden Routier was 5.3 to win 6th in the Long Go, 7.4 to finish 8th in the Short Go, and 7th in the Average.
Riggs Rotenberger was a 6.2 for 10th in the Long Go, but unfortunately took a No Time in the Short Go, and finished 12th in the Average.
Our Saddle Bronc Riders struggled with tough draws. Brady Irvine scored 71 points in the Long Go to split 4th and 5th, he was 69 points in the Short Go to split 6th , 7th, and 8th , and finished 6th in the Average. Everett Blackburn scored 71 points in the Long Go to split 4th, & 5th. He unfortunately bucked off in the Short Go, and finished 10th in the Average.
Jhett VanderHamm and Jaytyn Hash won 2nd in the Long Go of Team Roping with a 5.7 second run, they unfortunately took a No Time in the Short Go, and finished 10th in the Average.
