Garden City, KS-Garden City showed some resiliency on Sunday afternoon.
Haley Enriquez and Samantha Medina each scored as the Broncbusters overcame a two-goal deficit to earn a 2-2 draw with Kansas City at Broncobuster Stadium. Garden City is now 4-7-1 overall and 0-6-1 in conference play.
After Jordan Bedard put the Red Devils up with a pair of goals in the first 22 minutes of the match, Garden City didn't have much of an answer. Yet, the home team still found a way.
With less than 20 minutes to go, Enriquez dribbled through traffic before launching a rocket past Karli Angle to make it 2-1. Then, in the final two minutes, Carys Grieve, who missed an earlier scoring chance, set up Samantha Medina for the equalizer in the 88th minute.
Kansas City outshot the Broncbusters, 17-14. Anahi Castillo recorded 11 saves for the Broncbusters, which snapped a seven match losing streak.
