Aya Charaf scored with five seconds remaining in the opening period, and Garden City took down No. 20 Butler, 1-0 Wednesday night at Broncbuster Stadium.
Charaf's goal was setup following a free kick by Tahlia Avery. Wilma Nyberg passed back to Avery who then fired a shot into the box. After Butler keeper Millie Robshaw-Charlesworth deflected the ball, Charaf knocked it in on the rebound while facing the opposite direction.
The Grizzlies missed their opportunity to take the lead earlier in the half when a goal was taken off the board because of an offsides penalty.
