Broncbusters Sweep Lamar on the Road

Lamar, CO – Garden City earned a convincing road victory Saturday night, sweeping Lamar Community College in straight sets (25–14, 25–16, 25–21).

The Broncbusters started strong in the opening frame, hitting .205 as a team while spreading the offense. Katarina Miscevic set the tone at the net, finishing with a team-high 10 kills on .500 hitting, while Beatriz Da Cruz added 9 kills and 5 digs. Garden City's blocking presence, led by Jana Kovacevic with 9 solo blocks, stifled Lamar's attack and secured a 25–14 win.

In the second set, Garden City built on its momentum. Andrea Djordjevic chipped in 8 kills and 4 digs, while Duru Karagoz provided balance in the middle with 3 kills and 2 blocks. Setter Vitoria Reis kept the offense in rhythm, dishing out 18 assists and adding a service ace. Behind a .273 hitting efficiency, the Broncbusters pulled away late to win 25–16.

The third set was the most competitive, with Lamar pushing back to keep the score close. Garden City responded with steady play from Hira Koseoglu (4 kills, no errors on .500 hitting) and strong back-row defense from Daniella Nogueira, who collected 15 digs. Miscevic and Djordjevic delivered key points down the stretch to close the match, 25–21.
