Broncbusters Claim Road Rivalry Win Over Dodge City

Dodge City, KS – Garden City picked up another conference victory on Saturday night, defeating rival Dodge City in four sets (25–18, 23–25, 25–21, 25–20).

The Broncbusters came out firing in the first set, hitting .344 as a team behind efficient swings from Andrea Djordjevic(11 kills, .205) and Katarina Miscevic (8 kills, .421). Garden City controlled the pace and closed strong, 25–18.

Dodge City responded in set two, capitalizing on Buster miscues to even the match with a 25–23 win. Despite steady contributions from Beatriz Da Cruz (7 kills, 3 digs) and Paris Bond (3 kills, 1 dig), the Conquistadors took advantage of late errors to pull even at 1–1.

Garden City settled back in during the third frame. Middle blocker Duru Karagoz was key at the net with 6 kills and 2 blocks, while libero Daniella Nogueira anchored the back row with a match-high 30 digs. Behind timely serving from Kamdyn Carr (3 aces, 8 digs), the Busters edged Dodge 25–21.

The fourth set proved decisive. Jana Kovacevic delivered a complete performance with 8 kills, 23 digs, and 2 aces, while setters Vitoria Reis (17 assists, 1 ace) and Lexi Arwine (7 assists, 7 digs) kept the offense balanced. Djordjevic and Miscevic again came through with key swings down the stretch, sealing the match 25–20.
