Broncbusters Defeat Hutchinson in Four Sets to Improve to 7–4 in Conference Play

Garden City, KS – The Broncbusters continued their strong stretch of conference play with a gritty four-set victory over Hutchinson Community College, winning 3–1 (25–18, 25–23, 11–25, 25–21) inside Conestoga Arena. The win moves Garden City to 10–10 overall and 7–4 in Jayhawk Conference action.

Garden City came out aggressive in the first two sets, taking control with high-energy defense and balanced offense. Jana Kovacevic led the attack with 10 kills, 3 aces, and 12 digs, while Andrea Djordjevic added 9 kills and a team-high 5 blocks. Kat Miscevic was a force in the middle, hitting .350 with 9 kills, 4 block assists, and 3 aces, helping the Busters jump to a 2–0 lead.

The Blue Dragons responded in the third set, capitalizing on errors to win 25–11, but the Broncbusters answered back in the fourth. Beatriz Da Cruz chipped in 9 kills and 6 digs, and setter Vitoria Reis dished out 18 assists while contributing from the service line. Daniella Nogueira anchored the defense, posting 24 digs and several clutch saves late in the match.

In the final frame, Kovacevic and Miscevic delivered key kills to close the door, sealing a 25–21 win and securing another important conference victory for the Broncbusters.
