Broncbuster Cross Country Shines at Chile Pepper Festival
Mai Wins Individual Title; Women Finish 6th Overall
The Garden City CC Men and Women's cross country traveled to Fayetteville, Arkansas to compete at the Chile Pepper Cross Country Festival hosted by University of Arkansas! This meet had schools in NCAA D1, D2, NAIA and NJCAA.
The women finished 6th out of 25 schools in the Women Prairie Fire Pepper 5k division (D2, NAIA & JUCO). Garden City CC was the top NJCAA finishing with a team average of 19:40, beating Crowder's team average of 19:51, they are currently #5 in the NJCAA.
Sophmore, Meryeme Mai won the race with a season best of 17:45.3!

The men finished 21st out of 30 teams in the Men McDonnell Memorial 8k (Primarily D1 division with top schools in D2, NAIA, JUCO). 3rd best juco finish of the division behind Iowa Central CC and Crowder CC.
