No. 8 Broncbusters Shatter Records in 89–0 Rout Over Community Christian (Mich.)
Garden City, KS — The No. 8 Garden City Broncbusters delivered a once-in-a-generation performance Saturday, exploding for 89 points in a complete domination of Community Christian (Mich.).
The victory set two new all-time program records:
- Most points in a game (89) — breaking the previous mark of 76 points set in 2021 vs. Fort Scott
- Largest margin of victory (89 points) — eclipsing every previous shutout in program history
Fast start, endless scoring
Garden City wasted no time lighting up the scoreboard. On just the second play from scrimmage, Edward Williamsbolted 73 yards for a touchdown. Bryce Dixon followed with a 37-yard touchdown reception from Jaydyn Sisk, and the floodgates opened.
By halftime, the Busters led 55-0, with scores from Sisk (two rushing TDs and one passing), John Randle Jr. (two TD runs), Ahmir Smith, Enese Tonga, and Lucca Alcaraz Valens adding kicks and field goals.
Second-half fireworks
With the game long decided, the Broncbusters showed no signs of slowing down.
- Lucca Alcaraz Valens drilled field goals from 25 and 37 yards,
- Tanner Helton connected with Donovan Moore on a 68-yard touchdown and later ran in a 13-yard score,
- Tylik Burton added a 10-yard touchdown run, and
- John Randle Jr. sealed the record books with a 26-yard touchdown run to close the game at 89–0.

- Third Downs: Converted 70% (7-of-10) while holding Community Christian to 0% (0-of-11).

When the final horn sounded, Garden City stood alone atop its record book — 89 points, 593 yards, and a complete team performance that showcased depth from every unit.
Head Coach Kiyoshi Harris' squad has now outscored its last two opponents 154-10, cementing its top-ten status and momentum heading into midseason.
